The editor

The Facet editor is organised around a live 3D viewport in the centre, with panels for building and refining your scene.

The viewport

The viewport shows your scene rendered in real time. Orbit, pan, and zoom to frame your shot — the camera angle you leave it at is the one that's exported and shared.

The panels

Facet groups its tools into panels. Depending on your plan and the scene, you'll find controls for:

  • Material — the surface of your objects (colour, metalness, roughness, glass). See Materials.
  • Background & environment — the backdrop and the HDRI that lights the scene. See Lighting & HDRI.
  • Lighting — shaping the light in the scene.
  • Post-processing / shaders — the effects stack (bloom, depth of field, grain, and more). See Effects.
  • Import / text — bringing in SVG artwork, models, and text layers. See Importing.
  • Cloner — repeating an object into arrays and patterns. See Cloner.

Saving & autosave

Your project saves to the cloud automatically as you work. You don't need to save manually, and every save is retained in version history so you can roll back to any earlier state.

Plan gates

Some tools are part of paid plans. If a feature is locked for your current plan, Facet will prompt you to upgrade — you can review what each tier includes in Plans & pricing.

Tip: Because everything renders live, small changes are instant — experiment freely. Version history has your back if you want to undo a whole direction.
