Getting started
Do I need to install anything?
No. Facet runs in your browser. You can install it as an app from the dashboard if you would like it in your dock, but there is still nothing to download.
Which browsers work?
Recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on a laptop or desktop. Published scenes and embeds also work on phones and tablets.
Can I use Facet on a phone or tablet?
The editor needs a wider screen, and shows a note on screens 767px wide or less. Everything you publish works on phones.
Why can't I sign up?
New accounts are opening in stages. If sign in says your email has not been added yet, join the waitlist at join.facet3d.studio.
Is there a free plan?
Yes, with one project and no time limit. See Plans and pricing.
Making things
What files can I bring in?
3D models as GLB, GLTF, OBJ, FBX or DAE. Vector artwork as SVG, pasted or dropped. Pictures as PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF or GIF, as a canvas, a background or a texture. Your own fonts as TTF, OTF or WOFF on Radiance. Your own environments as HDR, EXR or JPG panoramas.
Can I export my scene as a 3D file?
Not today. You can render images and video, publish a live page, or embed the scene in your site.
Can I animate my scene?
Timeline, scroll and hover animation is built and coming soon. Today, effects can follow the cursor, many move on their own, and animation inside imported models plays. See Animate.
Is there a limit on objects?
There is no fixed limit, but every object, polygon and texture costs speed, most of all on phones. Use cloners for repeats, and check Perfs in the Publish panel. See Troubleshooting.
Does my work save?
Yes, by itself, a moment after every change. Every change can be undone, and on Radiance each project keeps a history you can go back to.
Sharing
Can I use Facet scenes on my website?
Yes. Publish the project and paste the embed snippet into Webflow, Framer, Wix, WordPress, React or any page. See Embed on your site.
Can I use my renders commercially?
Yes. You keep full ownership of the scenes, renders and project files you make with Facet. See the terms for the details.
Can I remove the Made with Facet mark?
Yes, on Radiance: turn off Display Facet branding in the Publish panel's Settings.
Does a change go live straight away?
No. Publishing is a snapshot, so you can keep working without changing what visitors see. Press Update when you are ready.
Teams and billing
Do the people I invite have to pay?
People who only view are free. People who edit take a seat, which the workspace owner pays for. See Workspaces and seats.
What happens to my projects if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. Your most recently edited project stays editable and the others open read only. See Plans and pricing.
How do I cancel?
In Settings, Billing. Radiance keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. See Billing.
I deleted a project by mistake
It is in the Archive, in the account menu, for 28 hours. One click brings it back.
