Share a project

Invite someone into one project, the way you share a file in Figma. Viewing is free. Editing takes a seat.

Sharing a project hands over that project and nothing else. The person sees it, and not your workspace, your other work, or that the rest exists.

Invite someone

In the editor, press your avatar in the top bar to open Share. You can also share from the dashboard without opening the project: Share in a project card's menu.

  1. Type their email.
  2. Choose Can view or Can edit.
  3. Press the arrow, or Enter.

They get an email with a link that works once, for that address. If they already have an account, the invite also appears on their dashboard. Accepted projects show in their Shared with me row.

The list underneath shows everyone on the project. Change someone's role or remove them from the menu beside their name.

Who can share what

  • Viewing is free, on any project, including one in no workspace at all.
  • Editing takes a seat from the project's workspace, the same seats workspace editors use. Twenty people editing twenty different projects is twenty seats.
  • A project in no workspace has no seats to give, so Facet offers to move it into a workspace, or make one, and then sends the invite to the address you typed.
  • You can share at or below your own role. An editor can invite editors and viewers, a viewer can invite viewers.

Inviting people from the editor is part of Radiance. The Share panel opens on every plan, so anyone can see who is on a project.

What a guest gets

Someone shared into a project works under that project's plan while they are in it. A guest in a Radiance project has the Radiance tools there without buying anything. Their own dashboard keeps their own plan.

To show work to people without inviting them, publish it and send the page link. Choose Anyone with the link to keep it out of the community.
