What is Facet

A 3D editor that runs in your browser, made for designers. Build a scene, give it a look, and put it live on the web.

Facet is a 3D editor for people who make things for the web. You build a scene from shapes, vectors, text or your own 3D models, give it materials, light and effects, and then publish it as a live page or embed it in your own site, where visitors can turn it, scroll through it and play with it.

Everything happens in the browser. There is nothing to install, no files to send back and forth, and no render to wait for: what you see in the editor is what your visitors get.

What you can make

  • A hero for a landing page. A logo in glass, a product on a turntable, a field of cloned shapes that drift as the page scrolls.
  • A product view. Bring in a model, light it like a studio, and let people orbit and zoom it.
  • Images and video. Render a still up to 4K, or a video, for a deck, a post or a print.
  • Stylised pictures. Turn a scene into ASCII, halftone, a thermal image or an X-ray with the shader stack.

How a scene comes together

  1. Build. Add primitives, paste an SVG, drop in a 3D model, write text or generate a shape. Repeat anything with a cloner.
  2. Give it a look. Set materials, pick an environment, place the lights and add effects.
  3. Make it fit every screen. Set how it sits on phones and tablets. Effects can follow the visitor's cursor, and timeline and scroll animation is coming soon.
  4. Share it. Render an image or video, publish it, or embed it in Webflow, Framer, WordPress, React or any page.

Saved as you go

There is no save button. Every change saves to your account within a moment and every change can be undone. On a paid plan, each project also keeps a history of snapshots you can go back to.

Built for teams too

Invite people into a project and you work in the same scene at the same time, with their cursor beside yours. Viewers are free; people who edit take a seat. See Teams.

What you need

  • A desktop or laptop browser. Recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. The editor uses WebGPU where your browser has it and WebGL where it does not, without you choosing.
  • A screen wider than a phone. The editor shows a short note on screens 767px wide or less. Published scenes and embeds work everywhere, phones included.
  • An account. Free to start, with one project. See Plans and pricing.
